Our projects in Mongolia.

Place:  Ulan Bator
Partner:    Mongolia Red Cross - Rotary Club
Beneficiaries: 80 persone (famiglie con madri single e figli disabili)
Cost:   32.000 €

The Ulan Bator project - A Ger for Everyone is a project aimed at helping some of the poorest families in the Chingeltei district, where children and adults with disabilities and / or severe physical illnesses live without any kind of medical- health and economic help from public and private bodies.
The initiative stems from an explicit signal from the Red Cross by Ulan Bator to NEED YOU ONLUS.
Gers are the traditional Mongolian tents, and we want to realize a camp of at least ten of these homes, to give a roof to 10 families. There will also be two bigger tents than the others: one will serve as a First Medical and Local Care Center for social activities, the other, located at the entrance to the camp, will house the guardians and their families who will watch over the families residing in the camp.
The project was proposed by Dr. David Bellatalla, world renowned anthropologist, a member of our association, who has always been socially committed to helping the weak and helpless.

We support street children in the capital of Mongolia living in terrible environmental conditions they are called "the children of the manholes." In the district of Chinghiltei in Ulan Bator, the poorest district of the city,  many children (about 1,200 children), to escape the winter’s harsh weather (-35 ° to -45 ° between November and February), live in the city’s manholes where the air is unbreathable. They escape from home because of unbearable situations: drunk and aggressive fathers, single mothers without job…
