The Ulan Bator project - A Ger for Everyone is a project aimed at helping some of the poorest families in the Chingeltei district, where children and adults with disabilities and / or severe physical illnesses live without any kind of medical- health and economic help from public and private bodies.
The initiative stems from an explicit signal from the Red Cross by Ulan Bator to NEED YOU ONLUS.
Gers are the traditional Mongolian tents, and we are building a small village of these houses, to give shelter to families living in desperate conditions, mainly single mothers with disabled children. In the Ger camp there is a First Medical Assistance Center and a GER school, for children, but also for women who can attend vocational schools.
The project was proposed by Dr. David Bellatalla, world renowned anthropologist, a member of our association, who has always been socially committed to helping the weak and helpless.
